Privacy notice

This notice explains what information Major Business Solutions LLC (“MBS,” “we”) collects through this website, why, where it is stored, and how you can ask us to delete it.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form — on the home page or to unlock our guides — we collect:

• Full name (required)
• Email address (required)
• Company (optional)
• Phone number (optional)
• Your area of interest, chosen from a list (required)
• Your message (optional)
• Whether you asked to receive occasional updates (optional checkbox)
• Your consent to us storing this information, and the time you gave it (required)

Along with your submission, we automatically record:

• The date and time of the submission.
• Which page of our site the form led to (for example, the guide you were opening).
• The language of the page you used (English or Spanish), which is included in the notification email to MBS.
• Your browser's user-agent string (which identifies the browser type and version), to help us spot abuse.
• A one-way, keyed hash of your IP address (never the raw address), used only for abuse prevention.

To limit repeated submissions, our server briefly keeps a count of recent submissions per IP address in memory; this is not saved to our database. Our hosting provider may also keep standard technical logs of requests to the website.

Why we collect it

• To reply to your message and discuss how we might help.
• To give you access to our free guides.
• To prevent spam and abuse of the form.
• If — and only if — you tick “Send me occasional updates,” to send you occasional news from MBS. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Where it is stored and who processes it

• Render hosts this website and the PostgreSQL database where your submission is stored. Both are located in the United States.
• Resend sends the notification email containing your submission to MBS. Resend keeps delivery logs according to its own retention policy.
• ImprovMX forwards email sent to @major-businesssolutions.com addresses, including that notification, to our inbox.
• Google (Gmail) provides the inbox where MBS receives the notification email.

If you are outside the United States, please note that your information is processed and stored in the United States.

We do not sell your information.

Cookies

We use up to two first-party cookies.

The first, mbs_resource_access, is set only after you submit the contact form, so that our guides stay unlocked on that browser. It contains your submission's ID plus the dates it was issued and expires, and it is digitally signed so it can't be altered. Because it holds your submission's ID, it links your browser to your submission. It is marked HttpOnly (it cannot be read by scripts on the page) and expires after about 180 days.

You can delete this cookie in your browser at any time. If you do, you will just be asked to fill in the form again to open the guides.

The second, mbs_lang, is set only when you use the English/Spanish switch at the top of the page. It contains just “en” or “es” and is used only to show the site in the language you chose. It is set by the page itself, so it is not HttpOnly. It is not linked to your submission and expires after one year.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions for 24 months from the date you submit them, then delete them automatically from our database. We delete the matching notification emails from our inbox on the same schedule.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner by emailing hello@major-businesssolutions.com.

Your choices and deletion requests

To ask what information we hold about you, correct it, stop receiving updates, or have it deleted, email us at hello@major-businesssolutions.com. We will confirm when your request has been completed.

A deletion request covers the record in our database and the copies of the notification email in our inbox. Delivery and forwarding logs kept by Resend and ImprovMX expire on those services' own schedules.

To remove the access cookie from your own device, clear cookies for this site in your browser settings.
